The Fan Filter Unit (FFU) is specialized air cleaning equipment designed to supply purified air to clean rooms for manufacturing semiconductors, liquid crystals, and other precision electronics. Installed within the system ceiling grid, large clean rooms may require from several hundred to several thousand FFU units to maintain atmospheric integrity.
FFUs provide a flexible and economical modular solution for equipping turbulent clean rooms from ISO 8 to ISO 1. They are ideal for environments with minimal space above the false ceiling. Common applications include semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, flat-panel displays, disc-drive production, optics, bio-engineering, clean benches, and laminar flow hoods.
